My name is Ann-Marie Michaels, and I believe I was born to launch this network.

My birthday is on the 4th of July.

My dream is to bring people together in a global community of health freedom and financial freedom.

Why We Need a Health Freedom Network

I started out as a health blogger in 2007.

But I was not successful at first.

The first year or two, the only people reading my blog were my family and friends. And I wasn’t making any money.

I wanted to turn my blog into a business so I could make enough money to stay home with my baby girl.

Instead of having to go back to work 50+ hours a week in corporate advertising promoting products and companies I didn't believe in.

I Found the Secret: The Power of a Network

In 2008, I started Real Food Media, which eventually became Village Green Network, the world’s biggest health blog network.

Starting a network was the key to my success as a health blogger.

It was the network that enabled me to become a top health blogger in just a few short years.

When we started working together, we were just mom bloggers typing recipes on our laptops in our kitchens.

When we changed our name from Real Food Media to Village Green Network, we didn’t realize it at the time, but God’s hand was guiding us.

Village Green was the name of the field where the shot was heard around the world at Lexington and Concord during the American Revolution.

It was the “shot heard 'round the world.”

They Tried to Bury Us. They Didn't Know We Were Seeds.

Village Green Network was such a threat to the Powers That Be that they sicked their three-letter agencies on us -- the FTC and IRS.

They threatened us with lawyers and fines. They attacked us with spam bots.

They were bigger and more powerful than us, and by 2014, we went out of business.

It is now over a decade later. I've lost almost everything: almost all my income, my home (yes, I'm literally homeless right now), my family and friends, and my life savings.

But I'm not giving up. I'm starting over. Because what didn't kill me made me stronger.

Losing everything has made me realize what is important. I've lived through years of censorship and lawfare.

Since early 2025, after Mark Zuckerberg’s Joe Rogan appearance announcing the end of heavy censorship, the platform has felt much freer.

Even I was able to create a new account in January 2025 and haven’t been banned (so far — fingers crossed!).
